THUNDER BAY – DAY STARTER –Good Morning. It is Tuesday, April 24, 2018. We start our day with our thoughts to the families and friends of a horrible crime in Toronto that has left ten people dead, and many injured. A suspect driving a white van along Yonge Street from Finch Avenue for 2.2 kilometres appears to have deliberately hit the victims. Toronto Police have the suspect in custody. Alek Minassian a twenty-five-year-old male from Richmond Hill was arrested and is due to appear in court this morning. At this point in their investigation, Toronto Police are stating they do not believe this was a terrorist attack.

In total, fifteen people are reported injured. Most of the victims were transported to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre trauma unit. Others were taken to the North York General Hospital and to St. Michael’s Hospital.

The forecast for Thunder Bay is calling for a high today of 10c. There will be a mix of sun and cloud today. The UV index will be 6 or high.
