Two Youth Arrested at Churchill High School Dance

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police report, “Two youth are in police custody after refusing to leave Churchill High School when directed by officers last evening.

Patrol officers attend Churchill High School around 9:15 pm on April 19, 2018, at the request of school staff to have two unwanted males removed from the school dance. Officers approached the 17-year-old males and asked them to leave the premise. One male began to leave while the other refused and was advised he would be arrested for trespass if he did not leave. This youth then shoved the officer and punched him. The situation escalated involving both youths.

The two were subsequently arrested and escorted to the Balmoral Police Station.

They appeared in court this morning and released with a future court date to answer to the following charges:

Youth #1 – Assault Police, Obstruct Police
Youth #2 – Assault Police x2 and Resist Arrest
