Three Face Charges in Fort Frances for Drug Offences

FORT FRANCES – Another drug bust in Fort Frances. The OPP report that on April 9, 2017, members of the Fort Frances Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a drug trafficking investigation in the Rainy River District. A vehicle stop was subsequently conducted in Watten Township of the Rainy River District at 11:46 PM, and as a result, three males were arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). A quantity of Hydromorphone was seized.

45-year-old Jason ALLAN, of the Rainy River District, has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s. 5(2) CDSA and with for breaching his Conditional Sentence Order. He is being held in custody.

40-year-old David BAXTER, of the Rainy River District, has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s. 5(2) CDSA. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on May 14, 2018, in answer to the charges.

39-year-old Jonathon GREEN, of the Rainy River District, has been charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s. 5(2) CDSA. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on May 14, 2018, in answer to the charges.
