TBPS Arson Investigation Seeks Public Assistance

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service investigators have released video surveillance of a suspect believed to be connected to an arson investigation.

Investigators are hoping that the public can assist them in this ongoing investigation.

On Sunday, April 1, just after 7:30 a.m. an officer observed dark smoke while on patrol on Arthur Street near Waterloo Street. The officer checked the area and located two vehicles in flames on the 200 block of Waterloo Street. The officer requested assistance by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue while confirming the residents in the home were safe. Both vehicles were damaged in this incident.

Police continue to investigate this suspected arson incident and are appealing to the public for information about this incident or a suspicious individual that may have been seen in the areas during the early morning of April 1, 2018.
