THUNDER BAY – POLITICS 2.0 – Thunder Bay Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says there is “Something for everyone” in the Liberal budget brought down in Queen’s Park last Wednesday.
“Our government continues to make important and strategic investments for residents in Thunder Bay-Atikokan and Northwestern Ontario,” says MPP Bill Mauro.
“Today’s budget included a recommitment to the announced capital funding for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, to bring in a cardiac program fully operational by 2020. I’m also pleased to see the investments to build a new multi-purpose correctional centre in Thunder Bay, as well as the commitment to continue moving forward with four-laning and interchange improvements on the Thunder Bay Expressway between Arthur and Balsam streets.”
Mauro tells NetNewsLedger in a series of interviews that the improvements to the Expressway are an important step toward enhancing safety.
Looking at the Budget, Mauro says there are tens of thousands of dollars in savings for families when you look at the tuition program, the drug benefits for youth under the age of twenty-five and the daycare plans.
