THUNDER BAY – A sure sign that spring is here is the ice breaking efforts in the Port of Thunder Bay.
In this video shared on Twitter, Captain Jason Church shows the CSL vessel leaving the Port of Thunder Bay this morning. Ice according to the Captain is up to 40 inches thick, just over one metre of ice.
The ice-breaking efforts across the Great Lakes are underway.
The Port of Thunder Bay is coming off an excellent year, and hopes are for another fantastic season.
As the season gets going, icebreaking efforts are continuing, and officials are working toward getting shipping going.
