Thunder Bay Chill Joins West Ham United North American Academy

THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – West Ham United of the English Premier League have formed a partnership with Thunder Bay, Ontario based, Thunder Bay Chill. The partnership was formed through Global Image Sports, the North American partnership mechanism of West Ham United.

This partnership will provide Thunder Bay Chill members with access to:

★        ID Camps with West Ham Academy coaches

★        West Ham United’s National Camp featuring the Academy Directors

★        College and Professional recruitment opportunities

★        Tours to West Ham United in London, England with exclusive partner access

★        West Ham United Coaching Diploma Course

★        Coaching Curriculum from West Ham United’s Academy

★        And more…

The Thunder Bay Chill was established in 2000 by founder Tony Colistro. The club had a vision that was inspired by the need to provide high-level soccer to the community of Thunder Bay. The Club runs recreational and competitive programs for both male and females starting at age 3, and the PDL teams sits atop the pyramid of the Club.

The Chill have instilled a “We” Philosophy that permeates throughout the club’s culture. It is a focus and desire to generate a progressive and innovative identity the produces dedication, positivity, and integrity. This partnership with West Ham United is just another example of The Chill’s continued implementation of this philosophy.

Tony Colistro, Director of Soccer Operations and Founder, on the partnership, “The success of our Chill program and youth participants continues to grow at both the recreational and competitive levels. We have already established a relationship with West Ham as many of our youth competitive players have attended Regional and National camps as well have attended the West Ham Academy in London. This partnership will only continue to grow with the hopes that someday a Canadian Chill player may find themselves with the top team at West Ham.”
