Thunder Bay – Day-Starter- Good Morning Northwestern Ontario. Your day is starting under clear skies with a temperature of -7c. However, Environment Canada is reporting we will see increasing cloudy conditions. By this afternoon expect snow flurries with gusting winds. Winds will become northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning. Today’s high will be at the freezing point of 0c.

The new leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party is Doug Ford. Ford squeaked out a win over Christine Elliott in a tightly fought battle. The two local Progressive Conservative candidates will be Derek Parks in Thunder Bay-Superior North, and Moe Comuzzi in Thunder Bay Atikokan.

The lowest prices for a litre of gasoline continues to be in Dryden. Fuel prices across the region range from $1.109 in Dryden, $1.184 at the Husky on Chipman Street in Kenora,  In Thunder Bay, the lowest price in the city is $1.219 at the Safeway on Arthur St W.
