NIPIGON – WEATHER – The blast of winter that has hit around Lake Superior has left a heavy snowfall in many parts of the region.
Environment Canada is reporting that a trained spotter reported 15 to 22 cm of fresh new snow in the Thunder Bay area at 9.00 PM.
The weather service has issued a snowfall warning for the north shore of Lake Superior.

- Nipigon – Rossport
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected. A low-pressure system approaching from Minnesota will move across Lake Superior into Upper Michigan tonight. Snow, heavy at times, will taper off late this evening or near midnight. Total accumulations of 15 to 25 cm are expected.
