THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire in a two-storey residence in the 1400 block of McGregor Avenue this afternoon at 4:03 pm.

The first arriving unit observed smoke and flames venting from the roof of the structure and commenced a rapid interior attack.  A second alarm was initiated which brought the total

A second alarm was initiated which brought the total complement of firefighters on the scene to twenty-two.

Five pumpers, an aerial ladder and a Platoon Chief responded to the incident.  The blaze was quickly brought under control with fire damage concentrated to the second floor and attic area of the home.  Damage estimates are unknown at this time.

There were no injuries to report to occupants or fire personnel. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
