THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – The Lakehead men’s basketball team (2-15) fell 101-78 in a tough game against the Windsor Lancers (8-9) tonight on the road.
The Lancers push began right out of the gate as they built a 28-17 lead after the first ten minutes. Windsor wasted no time pushing their lead more as they went into the half up 52-34.
Lakehead made some adjustments in the second half but had some troubles locking down Windsor’s outside shooters. The Thunderwolves were unable to close the gap, ultimately losing 101-78.
Despite the loss, the Thunderwolves out-rebounded the Lancers 39-37.
“Tonight was a tough one for us as a team. We lacked some toughness and energy to start the game. I thought the second half was better. Well make some adjustments and look to improve tomorrow night.” – Coach Ryan Thomson
Nahshon Hurst led the Wolves with 13 points, 6 rebounds while Mor Menashe had 12 points.
The Thunderwolves will play tomorrow at the same time and same place against the Lancers.
