THUNDER BAY – The NDP regrets to announce that John Rafferty, nominated candidate for Thunder Bay Atikokan, has begun treatment for a recently diagnosed serious medical condition. As a result, he is unable to continue as a candidate in June’s provincial election. He thanks the people of Thunder Bay for their support and understanding.

Local party volunteers will lead a new candidate nomination process, with details to be released at a later date. New Democrats are keeping Rafferty and his family in their thoughts during this difficult time.
