Thunder Bay has issued Water Survey Report

TOWN OF MOOSONEE RESIDENTS
BOIL WATER ADVISORY
DATE: January 22, 2018
TIME: 10:45 am
As stated by the Public Works Department, the Acting Mayor and I met with the Public Works Manager and Water Treatment Plant Manager to update us on the current situation as to why some of the Town is again without water, and advise us as to their plan of action.

I would like to remind everyone that there is water available to the residents out at Public Works. This water is not potable water (not drinkable) and should be boiled first for a minimum of 5 minutes before using it to drink or as a means of cooking.

If you know someone that is unable to get to Public Works to fill up empty jugs, I ask all to help where possible. If you are someone who cannot get there and have no way to make arrangement to get jugs filled up, then please contact the Public Works Department or the Town, and we will evaluate the situation and help where possible.

All residents are reminded to have a minimum of 72-hour water supply at all times in case there is no water available at all.

Please always keep a lookout for any unusual pooling or bubbling of water from the ground and if noticed, report it to the Public Works Department. The more eyes we have to look for the water main break location, the sooner it can be worked on and repaired.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE

Sincerely

Stephen Crown – Moosonee Community Emergency Management Coordinator
