THUNDER BAY – LETTERS – The Thunder Bay & District Labour Council would like to monitor local area Tim Horton’s locations for any reprisals, intimidation, bullying, work adjustments, reduction is previous benefits, against employees since the rise in the minimum wage January 1st.

This is a gross display of corporate greed Provincially and Canada wide. (RBI) Restaurant Brand International (the parent company that makes $13 billions in profit) is easily in a position to implement regulations for all Tim Horton’s franchises that would prevent this blatant cruelty toward workers, but they feel they can get away with it by using PR moves and advertising their brand out of it. This action by the corporation defeats the need to address poverty level jobs in Canada.

The local Labour Council is asking that you please make the Labour Council aware of any type of action against you, a friend or relative by contacting us by responding to this e-mail. Please indicate the details as to the location and the action that was taken. You may also phone and leave a message at 345-2621. Confidentiality is assured.

In solidarity
