Police Make Arrest in String of Three Crimes

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that arrests have been made in a string of crimes.

The TBPS Community Response Team arrested a male identified as being responsible for three separate incidents in December 2017.

The first incident reported to police involved a theft of Tim Horton’s Camp Day donation box at a Memorial Ave Tim Horton’s location on December 3rd. The second incident reported to police on December 19th involved a theft at Maltese Grocery. The final incident was the Mac’s Convenience Store robbery on December 31, 2017.

Jonah Bedard, a 31-year-old male from Thunder Bay was located by officers in the area of Cornwall Avenue and Algoma Street and was arrested without incident around noon on January 5, 2018. He has been charged with Robbery and Theft Under $5000 x2.

He appeared in court this morning and has been remanded into custody. None of the charges have been proven in court.
