THUNDER BAY – On December 28th at 6:22 pm a pickup truck was stopped after an officer on regular patrol observed it commit numerous traffic violations.
When the officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 62-year-old male driver, the officer could smell alcohol on the breath of the driver.
The male was brought back to the Thunder Bay Police station to provide a breath sample. The sample provided was found to be over 4 times the legal limit.
The male has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of his blood.
The males vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and his license suspended for 90 days.
The male is to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
