THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – For most of Northern Ontario the Extreme Cold Warning is still in effect. Environment Canada is calling for Wind Chill values from minus 40 to minus 43 this morning in Thunder Bay.

For those headed out for Boxing Day deals, bundle up and make sure that your vehicle is up to the task.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Nipigon – Greenstone – Beardmore
  • Atikokan – Fort Frances
  • Kenora – Dryden – Vermillion Bay
  • Ignace – Upsala – Raith – English River
  • Red Lake
  • Sachigo Lake
  • Fort Severn
  • Attawapiskat
  • Sioux Lookout – Pickle Lake – Savant Lake

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
