BRAMPTON, ON – It was a tough Sunday for the Queens teams at the 2 Nations College Prep Series. After both the Sportop Midget AA and Bantam AA Queens teams went 3-1 through Friday and Saturday, both lost their final games 4-0 and 5-1 respectively.
Over the weekend tournament, the Sportop Midget AA Queens finish with a 3-2 record, outscoring opponents 12-10, including a 2-0 shutout win registered by Aden Johnson. For the Bantam AA Queens, they boast an identical 3-2 record outscoring their opponents 18-13. Goaltender Lindsay Humeniuk posted two shutout victories in that frame.
Both teams return home to rest up for their next appointments. For the Midget AAs, an exhibition game against the Bantam AA South End Rangers on Wednesday and for the Bantam AA Queens, they’ll be spending their Wednesday volunteering at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in the Paediatrics Care Centre.
