MISHKEEGOGAMING – Jane Philpott, Minister of Indigenous Services, today congratulated Mishkeegogamang Ojibway First Nation on its new six-unit housing complex. The new homes were built ahead of schedule and will contribute to healthier lives for their residents.
Mishkeegogamang Ojibway First Nation is one of 56 First Nation communities in Ontario who are benefitting from new housing investments through Budget 2016.
“Congratulations to Mishkeegogamang Ojibway First Nation on the completion of your new homes, and on completing this project ahead of schedule. Our government will continue to make significant investments in housing to improve the quality of life in First Nations communities, and I am pleased to see this progress which will benefit so many residents,” says Minister Philpott.
“These new homes are extremely important for our community as they will provide adequate and affordable housing for families and Elders. We are very pleased to work in partnership with the government to provide much-needed housing in our community,” states
