LONDON – LIVING – Vacations are always fun when planned properly. Going to a new place, discovering not only the tourist spots but also not well-known places can be an adventure. You become immersed in a different culture while having the time of your life relaxing and indulging yourself.

That’s why many people are resigned to the idea that every time they go on vacation it is inevitable that they will gain weight. But that does not need to be the case with you. If you’re aiming to lose weight through meal plans like Nutrisystem, it is not impossible to stay on track with your goals and still have the time of your life on vacation.

  1. Bring your own food – the best thing to do is to bring the meals provided by Nutrisystem. It may be difficult to bring the prepackaged meals with you, but you will not have any problem with the powdered ones. They take up so little space in your luggage and even if you are away for a week, you can still bring enough for all your meals. Bringing them will also save you a lot of money since you have already set your meals for the day. 2. Exercise and stay active – make sure that you remain active even during vacation time. Don’t just spend the majority of your days lounging around by the pool or the beach or watching TV inside your hotel room. Do your research and look for the famous tourist spots and visit all of them. A great way to stay fit is to just walk around while discovering all the sights and sounds that the place has to offer. If there are other activities, such as surfing or hiking, you can try them too. Just as long as you remember to keep your body active, then you will for sure not gain weight.
  3. Keep yourself hydrated – always have a bottle of water ready for you. If you’re traveling during summer, keeping yourself hydrated is a top priority. Stick to water as it makes you feel full and you won’t get hunger pangs while touring around. Also, keep your alcohol intake to a minimum as they are high in calories and most likely the culprit in many people who gain weight during vacations.
  4. Order what you want but only eat a portion of it – you might think that you are depriving yourself of what your destination has to offer when it comes to local delicacies. You don’t have to do that. You can still order the food you want and combine it with your protein shakes and healthy snacks from Nutrisystem. The key is to watch your food intake and be moderate. If traveling with a partner, just split the meal between the two of you so you don’t have to eat all of it, especially it’s big portion. You don’t have to give up the chance to eat out during vacations, but just remember that the key is moderation.
