Memorial Avenue Construction Starts Monday October 30th

THUNDER BAY – A section of Memorial Avenue, from the Harbour Expressway to Isabel Street, will be closed to through traffic starting on Monday, Oct. 30. The closure is due to the rehabilitation of the CN Rail Crossing which involves new concrete panels and resurfacing the road.

Traffic will be detoured to Fort William Road between Harbour Expressway and Isabel Street, for the duration of the work. Detour signs will be posted.

There will still be access to businesses within the closure limits.

Work is expected to be completed by Saturday, Nov. 4.

Motorists are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage when traveling near the construction area.
