Kenora Man Faces Impaired Driving Charges

KENORA – Officers with the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Kenora man for Impaired Driving offences.

The OPP report that on Friday, Saturday, October 21, 2017, shortly after 2:30 am, police located a male in a vehicle parked in the downtown area. Police determined the man had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested at the scene and transported for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Jason LAVA of Kenora has been charged with:

  • Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mg of Alcohol in his Blood contrary to section 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code (CC).
  • Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired (Alcohol) s. 253(1) (a) CC.

He is to appear in Kenora Court on November 16, 2017, to answer to the charges.
