Sadly, Lock it or Lose it
THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a number of thefts from vehicles that have occurred over the past several days in the Municipality of Shuniah.
Police have received reports of a number of unlocked vehicles that were entered and various items including currency, jewelry and electronics have been stolen.
The OPP request that any suspicious activity be reported immediately and remind the public to remove valuables from vehicles, roll up windows, lock vehicles and keep vehicle keys inaccessible. These and other safety tips can be located on our website at www.opp.ca
Thunder Bay OPP is asking that if anyone has any information regarding these thefts, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a web tip at www.tipsubmit.com. Remember, your identity will remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 and you will never have to testify in court.
