IGNACE – On August 12, golfers gathered at the Ignace Golf and Country Club for a tournament in support of the Tbaytel Tamarack House. Cancer has affected the lives of many people in this small town and together, $2,898 was raised.

“Tbaytel Tamarack House provides a home away from home for cancer patients not only from Ignace but from all the small towns in the region who are navigating the uncharted waters of cancer diagnosis and treatment,” explained Tracy Stanley, one of the organizers of the tournament. “Having to leave one’s home community and travel to Thunder Bay adds another layer of stress in an already stressful situation. The value of the Tbaytel Tamarack House – which provides a safe and inexpensive place to stay- cannot be overstated. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make this event such a success. Without you, there would have been no tournament.”
