Road Closure

THUNDER BAY — The Ministry of Transportation wishes to advise that there will be intermittent overnight lane closures at the intersection of Highway 61 and Arthur Street starting October 2, 2017, to upgrade the pedestrian crossings.  These closures are expected to occur between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. throughout the duration of the work. Short-term traffic delays can be expected.

These temporary lane closures are necessary to ensure the safety of road users and workers while work is underway.  The work is expected to be complete by mid-November, 2017.

Motorists are reminded to obey and follow all traffic signage for the safety of both workers and drivers.

For the latest information on highway closures and construction, the public can call 511, MTO’s Road Information Line or check www.ontario.ca/511.
