THUNDER BAY – Approximately 200 students from Thunder Bay’s eight local high schools will be at Confederation College this Wednesday for the annual College Information Program (CIP) Tour. The tour includes booths and displays featuring representatives from 16 colleges across Ontario, including Confederation College. Students and, for the first time, parents will have the opportunity to explore each of the colleges – all in one place.
Students and parents will be able to speak with college representatives about programs being offered, how to apply, financial aid, opportunities after graduation and more. They will also have the opportunity to meet with program coordinators and faculty to learn about Confederation College’s programs, as well as learn more about Confederation’s student support services.
The CIP Tour is an annual six-week tour that travels to colleges and secondary schools across Ontario. The participating colleges being welcomed to northwestern Ontario include: Algonquin (Ottawa), Cambrian (Sudbury), Canadore (North Bay), Centennial (Toronto), Conestoga (Kitchener), Fanshawe (London), George Brown (Downtown Toronto), Georgian (Barrie), Lambton (Sarnia), Loyalist (Belleville), Michener (Toronto), Northern (Timmins), Sault (Sault Ste. Marie), Seneca (North York) and St. Clair (Windsor and Chatham-Kent). OSAP has also joined the tour this year.
The Tour started its northwestern Ontario events on Monday, September 25 with Ignace and will conclude in Geraldton on Friday, September 29 before moving on to other regions of Ontario.
