THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Jacen Bracko has been named its initial Play It Again Sports player of the week for the 2017-18 regular season.
In Dryden’s first two games of the campaign Bracko, who turns 20 Friday, produced a league-high seven points as the GM Ice Dogs rolled to a pair of resounding victories over the English River Miners.
The Calgary, Alta., product began by scoring twice and assisting on another in a road win Friday.
Bracko followed that up by tallying twice and setting up two more as Dryden skated a triumph in their home opener Sunday afternoon at Memorial Arena.
Also earning consideration for SIJHL Play It Again Sports player of the week honours were the following:
Parker Simonson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Avery Siau, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; Damien Carigni, (F) Fort Frances Lakers; Zach Hayes, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers & Cody Milgate (F) English River Miners.
