THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have two suspects in custody for firearms and drug charges.

Following complaints about suspected drug activity at a residence in the 100 block of North Marks Street, officers with the Thunder Bay Police Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the 20th of September 2017 at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Officers located a loaded, easily accessible and unsafely stored semi-automatic .22-caliber rifle, which had been illegally modified for concealment. Officers also located a small amount of crack cocaine.

Matthew LOUBIER, 25 years old, of Thunder Bay faces various firearms charges and a breach of probation charge.

Mariah SAKANEE, 25 years old, of Thunder Bay faces various firearms charges as well as a charge of possession of cocaine.

Both remain in custody.
