THUNDER BAY – Once again with the onset of autumn, the North of Superior Film Association (NOSFA) returns for its 26th season of operation, Thursday, September 21st at SilverCity.

NOSFA kicks-off  Season #26 with two exciting films in two theatres: Maudie, the real-life story of Canadian artist Maud Lewis featuring fabulous performances by Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawke, and An Inconvenient Sequel, featuring Al Gore, a more-than-appropriate selection given recent global devastation due to environmental disturbances.

Membership remains the same as last season ($15) as well as admission fees ($6 for members, $9 for non-members.)  The September 21st screening offers two-for-one admission upon purchase of a membership. This admission is non-transferable for each purchaser (ie upon membership purchase, purchasing patron pays for one film and gets into the second screening for free). This is offered for opening night only.

Box office opens at 6 pm at SilverCity Thursday night. No advance ticket sales.

Upcoming dates and titles include:

October 5: The Commune, from Scandinavia

October 19: Beatriz at Dinner, starring Salma Hayek and John Lithgow

November 2: Frantz, from France/Germany

November 16: Kedi, from Turkey

NOSFA an exciting autumn ahead.  We look forward to seeing you at SilverCity!
