Aggravated Assault Charges Follow Picton Avenue Altercation

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service patrol officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Picton Avenue at approximately 2:00AM EDT on September 16, 2017 regarding an assault.

Police and Superior EMS responded. A twenty-eight-year-old man was discovered inside the home with serious injuries. He was taken to Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre.

TBPS arrested a thirty-four-year-old man at the scene.

According to what police were told, it is alleged that the two males were involved in an altercation with each other.

Thirty-four-year-old Joshua Ryan WHITEHEAD of Webequie First Nation has been charged with Aggravated Assault.

Whitehead has been held in custody for a future court date.

Police report that victim is recovering from his injuries.
