THUNDER BAY – NEWS – On Thursday, September 14, 2017, Thunder Bay International Airport (YQT), along with its partners will be conducting a live emergency training exercise at the airport. The exercise will start at 12:00pm and is expected to end at 4:00pm. Flights and airport operations will not be impacted as a result of the exercise.

More than a half dozen agencies will be involved in this mock emergency enabling all parties to practice their unique responses and communication with other responders in a lifelike, but controlled environment.

Our first and primary goal in any exercise or emergency response is safety for first responders and in the case of this exercise, participants and those observing the exercise.

Additional details will not be provided prior to the exercise.

TBIAA would like to thank Bearskin Airlines and Air Canada Jazz for committing resources to ensure a positive learning experience for all responders.
