KENORA – Bob Nault, Member of Parliament (Kenora riding), issued the following statement regarding today’s federal Cabinet shuffle:
“Congratulations to my fellow colleagues who have been newly appointed as Ministers, and those who will be taking on new and challenging roles in Cabinet. I would especially like to thank the Honourable Judy Foote for her time and service as she moves on to spend time with her family.
“I am also pleased to see two very knowledgeable and capable Ministers take charge of Indigenous affairs portfolio, with the Honourable Carolyn Bennett as Minister of Crown Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and the Honourable Jane Philpott as Minister of Indigenous Services. I look forward to the positive direction they will set as we work towards improving the lives of Indigenous people throughout the country.
“With fresh perspectives, we move into the next sitting of Parliament, and I am confident that by working together with my fellow colleagues, we will make Canada an even better place to live.”
