PIKANGIKUM FN – On Saturday, August 19 2017, at approximately 9:31PM Police were called to the school area on Airport Road in Pikangikum First Nation. Upon Police arrival a male was found unconscious and transported to the nursing station for treatment. At 10:09PM Bronson Lee STRANG, a thirty-four-year-old man was pronounced dead.

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services under the direction of Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

The post mortem will be held at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS) in Toronto, but a date has not been scheduled.
