CHIPPEWA FALLS, ON – On August 6, 2017, shortly before 10:00 p.m., members from the Sault Ste Marie Ontario Provincial Police responded to an assault that occurred at seasonal residence on Whispering Pines Road within the Chippewa Falls area.
Investigation determined that two males and a female were sitting around a campfire when two males from a neighbouring cottage approached them and began an argument. The argument ensued where a physical altercation took place between the four adult males.
As a result of the investigation, Corey ST LOUIS, 35 years of age, from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, was charged with: Assault (X2), contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste Marie on August 28, 2017.
Jamie GILMAR, 34 years of age, from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, was charged with:
- Assault (X2), contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC); and with
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Sault Ste Marie on August 8, 2017.
