Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Superior EMS Rescue Fallen Hiker

THUNDER BAY – Two pumper units and an FWD 2 with a Kubota were required by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue last night for a rescue of a person who fell off of a rack face last night.

At 23:20 Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to 125 Copenhagan Rd. to assist EMS with a patient who had fallen from a six meter height.

Paramedics were on scene prior to Pumper 5. Pumper 5 crew arrived at the patient and assessed the safest and best way to remove patient from the area of the fall.

The Fire crew extracted the patient through existing  paths. The patient was then transported by Superior EMS to Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.
