THUNDER BAY – GOLF – The three man team of Rob Additise, Colin Sobey and Scott Glomba were able to hang on and win the 2017 Chapples Men’s Club Invitational golf tournament. which was held on July 22 & 23 at Chapples Golf Course.
The winning team were 3 shots back after Saturdays round, but were able close the gap on Sunday and force a shoot out with the Walter Keating Jr. team, and win the competition.
The 3 man scramble tourney had a full field of 48 teams, which resulted in 4 flights of 12 teams and it was the first year that Gore Motors Honda was the major sponsor.
“The weather held, we had over $13,000 in total prizes, and an exciting shootout to determine the winning team,” stated Larry Perepeluk, Tournament co-chair. “All in all, it was a great weekend.”
