THUNDER BAY – CRIMEBEAT – Skylar Masakayash, twenty-two-years old of Thunder Bay has been remanded into custody after appearing in court Friday on Second-Degree Murder and Breach of Probation charges in relation to the death of Kevin Roundhead Thursday afternoon.

Thunder Bay Police report that on Friday July 7th, 2017, two additional people were arrested in connection with the Homicide that resulted in the death of Kevin Roundhead at McVicar Creek and Cumberland Street on July the 5th, 2017. forty-three-year old Emma MASSAKAYASH and twenty-three-year-old Jessie CHAPAIS have also appeared in court on charges of Second Degree Murder, both have been remanded into custody.

This homicide investigation is ongoing. Thunder Bay Police are seeking information from anyone who could help them with any relevant information.

The area along McVicars Creek where this homicide happened is a well known area for people gathering. There are areas where homeless people have made temporary camps, there is evidence of campfires, and often there are a lot of empty beer and wine bottles. It is patrolled on a regular basis by police, the NAN Bear Clan Patrol and by the Lynx Clan Grandmothers Patrol.
