TBPS Report – Marlin Chookomolin Died in Hospital

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police are reporting that twenty-five-year-old Marlan Patrick Chookomolin has died at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center. The young man was found unresponsive on a walking trail behind the Landmark Inn in Thunder Bay.

Chookomolin died last night after he was taken off life support. A post mortem will be conducted in Toronto on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

Police investigators are still conducting interviews and securing video to try to trace Marlan’s activities for the afternoon and evening of Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Police have not said if their investigation is now being considered a homicide investigation. The area where the young man’s body was found has been secured by police.
