THUNDER BAY – The efforts to find Josiah Begg are continuing. The fourteen-year-old from KI has been missing since May 6th. Searchers are continuing the search and are still holding fast to the hope that the young male will be found safe.

Thunder Bay Police along with the Nishnawbe-Aski Bear Clan have been actively looking for Josiah Begg for over a week.

NAN has set up a command centre for the search efforts at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School on Edward Street.

Thunder Bay Police have presently suspended their part in the active ground search and are focusing efforts on video camera footage.

Initial reports had Josiah who is visiting Thunder Bay at Marina Park. There are also reports that the teenage male was at the Cumberland Street McDonalds Restaurant and also on a Thunder Bay Transit Bus which took him to the Simpson Street and Northern Avenue according to sources.

There are members of the Canadian Rangers who have participated in the search, not as Rangers, but unpaid civilian volunteers.

Police released an image of Josiah Begg from the Vale Community Centre in Limbrick. That image was released of the teenager from May 6th at about 10:00PM EDT.

There have been no camera images released since that time.

Searchers have maintained their presence and are continuing their efforts. However additional volunteers are needed. Search Headquarters could use someone good at keeping track of the maps which are recording the areas searched.
