Stabbing Injures Three Victims

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service report that they received several calls about an assault involving a number of people that was occurring in the baseball diamond near the Ray Boulevard and Duluth Street behind the Canada Games Complex just after 9:30PM on May 7, 2017.

The call was quickly upgraded to a stabbing.

Officers arrived and located three male victims that required medical attention. All three were transported by ambulance to the hospital, treated by medical staff and have been discharged from the hospital.

Officers responding the altercation located a male matching the description of one of the suspects in the assault a short distance away on Beaver Court. The sixteen-year-old was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon. This teenager  appeared in court today, and has been remanded into custody.

Police are currently looking to locate a seventeen-year-old male in relation to this assault.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not been spoken to by police is asked to call 684-1200 and ask to speak to a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Branch.

Thunder Bay Police state that this investigation is ongoing.
