DULUTH – WEATHER – The National Weather Service in Duluth states that “A strong spring storm will bring rain and snow to the Northland today.

“An area of low pressure near Iowa this morning will lift into central Wisconsin by this afternoon. Rain will lift north into the Northland this morning and transition to snow over much of the Northland, especially across central to northeast Minnesota, and into parts of far northwest Wisconsin. Much of the snow will fall this morning, but there will be lingering snow through this evening.

A gusty north to northeast wind flow will combine with the snow and result in low visibility at times, especially closer to Lake Superior because of the strong flow from the Lake.

Motorists should be prepared for a difficult morning commute.
