THUNDER BAY – Due to the extreme weather conditions, The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) will be temporarily suspending all services and closing office facilities in the City of Thunder Bay and throughout the District.

Effective at 12:00 noon today all TBDSSAB services and facilities are temporarily closed:

  • All services available at TBDSSAB Main Office at 231 May St. South including all Ontario Works, Social Housing and Child Care appointments scheduled for April 26, 2017 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m. have been cancelled due to inclement weather. Those clients and applicants whose appointments were cancelled are asked to contact their worker on Thursday, April 27th to
  • All maintenance services at TBDSSAB Housing
  • All services available through our satellite offices within the District of Thunder Bay including all Ontario Works, Social Housing and Child Care appointments scheduled for April 26th from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m. have been cancelled due to inclement weather. Those clients and applicants whose appointments were cancelled are asked to contact their worker on Thursday, April 27th to

“TBDSSAB administration has been monitoring the weather throughout the morning. As there is more freezing rain in the forecast and poor driving conditions, we have made the decision to cease operations at our facilities for the safety of our clients and staff,” said William Bradica, CAO of the TBDSSAB.
