RAINY RIVER, ON – On April 2, 2017 members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted with respect to a goat that had been killed at a residence on Government Road in Rainy River, Ontario.
Officers attended the scene and as a result of further investigation, on April 3, 2017 two eighteen-year-old males identified as Skyler IVALL from Rainy River and Brandon PENNER from Lake of the Woods Township have been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code:
1) Killing Animals other than Cattle contrary to section 445(1)(a)
2) Trespass by Night contrary to section 177, and
3) Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88
The two accused are to appear in Fort Frances Criminal Court on May 11, 2017.
