FORT FRANCES – Ontario Provincial Police are reporting that two people are dead and a suspect is in custody facing criminal charges. The incident happened at the Lakeview Trailer Park on Tuesday, as police arrived with a heavy presence.
The deaths remain under investigation by OPP. At present the names of the deceased have not been released, as officials are working to identify the bodies and then notify next of kin.
OPP are remaining tight lipped over the incident. However police have set up a tip line, 1-844-677-5040 and are seeking any help from the public.
One man has been brought into custody and criminal charges are pending.
The Lakeview Trailer Park residents were evacuated during the incident but were allowed to return to their homes at about midnight Tuesday.
