Police Make Arrests inside Newfie’s Pub

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service report that on Saturday February 25, 2017, officers attended Newfie’s Pub on the corner of Brodie Street and Victoria Avenue just after 4:00PM EST in an effort to locate a female that was believed to be in the establishment and breaching a recognizance.

The female was located by an officer and advised she was under arrest; the female tried to run away from the officer but was immediately apprehended inside the bar. The officer was then rushed by a male patron and sent to the ground. Other officer in the bar immediately took control of this male and arrested him.
As the officers were attempting to handcuff and take control of these individuals, they were surrounded by persons in the bar yelling obscenities. Officers were able to remove the suspects and escort them to the Thunder Bay Police Station where they were held for a court appearance.
Renee Jennie Graves, a twenty-six-year-old female was charged with Breach of Recognizance and Resist Arrest. Brennan Brady Joseph, a twenty-year-old male was charged with Assault Police and Breach of Probation.
Both appeared in court yesterday and were remanded into custody.
Thunder Bay Police advise that their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
