THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra (TBSO) is thrilled to announce Brew and Beethoven 5th on March 25, 2017 at the O’Kelly VC Armoury. Beethoven’s 5th Symphony is said to be his most beloved and this year’s Brew & Beethoven follows the same tune.

Together, the region’s greatest craft beers, musicians and event goers will experience a taste of Beethoven unlike any other. Guests will enjoy a cold one while listening to the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra perform works ranging from Beethoven to the new Classics.

“Brew and Beethoven has been a sell-out event for 4 years and we expect our 5th event to be the best yet,” says Kerry Berlinquette, B&B Committee Chair—Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. “If you have never experienced this event, imagine a large bustling beer hall with thrilling world-class music. Better yet, all proceeds directly support our TBSO Youth & Education programs.”

For 2017, Brew and Beethoven 5th will offer specially brewed beer from Sleeping Giant Brewing Company, free rides courtesy of Thunder Bay Transit, and guest performances by Hunt and Gather. General admission tickets cost $25, or supporters can purchase a premium ticket for $50 to receive a commemorative B&B 5th stein and t-shirt.

“Deciding to host Brew and Beethoven for a fifth year was an easy decision for us. Events like this help to grow our audience; people really enjoy the opportunity to experience the Orchestra in a more casual and familiar setting” says Barry Streib, Executive Director TBSO.

For more information on one of Thunder Bay’s most anticipated events call the TBSO Office at (807) 474-2284 or purchase your ticket online at tbso.ca or through the Brew and Beethoven Facebook page.
