OTTAWA – SPORTS – The Lakehead men’s basketball team fell to the Ottawa Gee-Gees tonight 89-60.
The Thunderwolves started the first quarter off well but the Gee-Gees quickly showed why they are a top 10 team, taking a quick 10-point lead. The ‘Wolves finished the first quarter down 22-12.
Lakehead was able to bring it within 8 but Ottawa went on a 13-0 run that only made it more challenging for Lakehead to close the gap. The ‘Wolves went into the half down 49-31.
Ottawa continued to push the pace and outscored the ‘Wolves in the second half 40-29.
Lakehead’s bench scored 29 points total with Kache Kopec putting up 13.
Henry tan had 10 points, 6 assists and Bacarius Dinkins also put up 10 points, 9 rebounds and 1 block.
The Thunderwolves struggled to score only going 31% from the field and 47% from the free throw line.

The Thunderwolves will challenge the #1 Carleton Ravens tomorrow at 8:00pm.
