Thunder Bay Police laid impaired driving chargesTHUNDER BAY – CRIME NOW – Impaired driving charges are not likely what anyone wanted on their Christmas list this year. However over the weekend, the Ontario Provincial Police in Marathon and Thunder Bay charged four individuals with impaired driving.

An accident on the Thunder Bay Expressway between John Street and Oliver Road on Saturday night led to charges. Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident. OPP report that a thirty-year-old driver struck another vehicle when attempting a lane change.

Marathon Detachment OPP report that just after midnight on Friday officers stopped a twenty–year-old male driver travelling from Edmonton. He now faces impaired driving charges.

OPP also add that on Saturday night around 9:00PM EST officers stopped a twenty-two-year-old female who is from Marathon. That driver now has impaired driving charges in her holiday stocking.

Then at about 2:00AM EST OPP officers stopped a twenty-eight-year-old man hailing from Montreal. He now faces charges of impaired driving.

All of the people charged will now have court dates to answer to the charges.
