THUNDER BAY – The holidays are a little bit brighter for hundreds of people in the province of Ontario and beyond thanks to Community Integration through Cooperative Education (CICE) student Alex Johnstone.
Johnstone is a second-year student in the program at Confederation College and this fall, completed her Office and Administration work placement in MPP Bill Mauro’s Constituency Office.
She was asked to create MPP Mauro’s Christmas card and she delivered a beautiful snowman drawing for the occasion.
The Community Integration through Cooperative Education program is designed to help individuals with learning, social and intellectual challenges find ways to overcome them.
This personalized, assisted learning program is tailored to fit each student’s particular academic needs with supports in and out of the classroom.
