Thousands Come Out to Enjoy Parade
THUNDER BAY – ENTERTAINMENT – The first winter storm of the season could not put a damper on the 26th Annual Rotary Christmas Parade. NetNewsLedger hosts Kateri Skaarup and Ron Kanutski brought the parade into the living rooms of Thunder Bay from our broadcast location on Memorial Avenue.
Thousands of people lined Memorial Avenue this morning to take in the fun of the parade.
For the third year, NetNewsLedger.com broadcast the Rotary Christmas Parade Live. Today’s 26th Annual Parade presented a number of challenges. First, the weather. strong blowing snow, cold wintery winds, both of which could have played havoc with the electronics needed for the broadcast.
Working with the Kasper Mini-Bus team on Memorial Avenue, the broadcast booth shifted this morning to the seats of the company’s Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus. Ron and Kateri were able to share the parade with our viewers and with the growing audience for these events.
The Parade will also be broadcast on Shaw Cable Ten as well.
Thank-you to Thunder Bay Rotary, Kasper Mini-Bus, Ron and Kateri for making this broadcast a success.
